Don was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church for 46 years. He served as deacon for many years, including chairman of the deacons. He was always willing to perform any maintenance needed at the church.
Don retired as an industrial maintenance electrician at Tower Automotive. His hobbies included flying, hunting, fishing, working in his yard and fixing things.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Kernodle; daughters Teresa (Jamie) Hodges of Somerville, AL; Veneice (Ken) Krisik of Milan; son Stephen (Dede) of Cades; daughter-in-law Nella (Mike) Kernodle of Milan; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Lester of Mesquite, TX and Patsy Pennington of Oakland, TN.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Margaret Powell, JoAnn Grear, Brenda Drane and his sons Mike Kernodle and Greg Kernodle.
