William Frawley, 78, a farmer living on the Richville road, died at 11:45 Sunday night. Mr. Frawley had been able to be around until May 3. Death was due to a heart condition.
Mr. Frawley was born in Fowler March 10, 1855, the son of Mathew and Margaret Cole Frawley, both natives of Ireland. He had lived most of his life in the vicinity of Gouverneur, and had been a farmer for 60 years. On New Year's day, 1876, he married Abigail Rhoda Minick, who died Jan. 29, 1917.
Survivors of Mr. Frawley include two sons, Matthew of Gouverneur and Jerome of Richville; four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Shampine, Carthage; Mrs. John Fuller and Miss Helen Frawley of Gouverneurm and Miss Dora Frawley, Antwerp; two brothers, Frank and Matthew of Baldwinsville; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 from the home. Rev. Frank T. Bennetts, Richville, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
