Dolores G. Atella, 92, of Mount Laurel, NJ, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, peacefully passed away on September 24, 2023, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, NJ.

Born on September 17, 1931, in Philadelphia, PA, Dolores was a woman of faith, spirit, and resilience whose memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Dolores was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dr. Ernest F. Atella, D.O., her parents, Louis and Caroline DeLuca, her siblings, Frank DeLuca, Louis DeLuca, Anthony DeLuca, Phil DeLuca (Sister Rita), and Lena Greco. She leaves behind her children, Lisa Ann Press and her husband James D. Press, Sr. and Ernie Atella and his wife Shelly; her grandchildren, James D. Press, Jr., Noah Michael Press, and Jacob Richard Atella; her sister, Rita Pacitti; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Moorestown, Dolores was deeply involved in her church community. She also played an active role in the PTA of Our Lady of Good Counsel and Bishop Eustace Prep, always advocating for the best educational opportunities for her children and others.

In addition to her community involvement, Dolores was a member of the Optimist Club, where she shared her spirited outlook on life and inspired others to do the same. She believed in the power of positivity and the importance of maintaining a hopeful perspective, no matter the circumstances.

Dolores had a passion for travel and was especially fond of the Bahamas, where she was a frequent guest in Nassau. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, creating precious memories that they will cherish forever.

Known for her impeccable style and keen sense of fashion, Dolores always dressed to impress. She believed in expressing herself through her attire, and her fashion-forward looks were a testament to her vibrant personality. Her elegance and grace were admired by all who knew her.

A viewing will be from 9:00 am to 10:45 am, on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 42 W. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am, at the church. Burial will follow at Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
