WARRENTON - Katie Joyner Miller, 76, of Warrenton died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, of complications from a stroke. She was the daughter of the late George H. and Daisy G. Jones O'Neal. She also was preceded in death by John A. Joyner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Sulphur Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. Allen Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Gideon H. Miller of Warrenton; three daughters, Deborah J. Edwards of Louisburg, Cecile J. Renn of Warrenton and Judy J. Morgan of Lusby, Md.; four stepchildren, Tanya Register of Raleigh, Tim Miller of Kings Mountain, Cindy Buxton of Charlotte and Janet Ruhdy of Greensboro; one sister, Ruby O'Neal Robertson of Warrenton; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association, 7272 Greenville, Dallas, Texas.
