A rural mail carrier for 30 years, he was a member of Rural Mail Carriers Association and the Knights of Pythias Lodge. Surviving are the wife, Mary; four daughters, Mrs. J. C. Gabbard, DeKalb, Ill., Roxie at home, Mrs. Howard Youse, Greencastle, and Mrs. Bonnell Helfrich, Fort Wayne; three sons, Ray of Hammond, Joseph at home, and Victor, Churubusco; and one grandchild. Services Thursday in Churubusco Methodist Church. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery.
