Pioneer Gone, Grandma Wrights Called To Rest Wednesday. One of the Oldest Residents of Pipe Creek Township. Highly Respected.

Grandma Wrights died at her home southwest of town Wednesday after an illness of several weeks.

Besides being one of the oldest residents of Pipe Creek township, Mrs. Wright was one of the most highly respected ladies of the county.

Rebekah Arnold was born in Ohio, November 3, 1824, died at her home in Pipe Creek township, December 8, 1909, aged 83 years, 1 month and 5 days. She was united in marriage to George Wrights, who preceded her to the spirit world about twelve yeas ago. To this union were born two sons, Albert and Amos, and one daughter, Angeline, who departed this life several years ago. Mrs. Wrights united with the M. E. church in 1844 and has since remained a faithful member. Mrs. Wrights, with her husband, came to Indiana in 1850 and located in Pipe Creek township and has since lived on the same farm.

The funeral services were held at the Brethren church west of Nead Friday by Rev. D. Nead. Interment in Mays cemetery near Onward.
