Martha Jackson, age 87, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Oglethorpe, GA, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.
Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma, GA.
Martha was born on August 23, 1936 in Fort Valley, GA to the late George Lee and Willie Mae Johns Lee. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lester Jackson, her daughter, Vicki Likens and her brother, Paul Lee. Martha attended County Line Baptist Church in Ellaville, GA.
Martha is survived by her three children, Richard Jackson of Leslie, GA, Thomas Jackson (Lisa) of Hickory, NC and Theresa Powers (Kenneth) of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Georgia Mae Peed of Reynolds, GA, JoAnn Robbins of Potterville, GA, and Mary Black of Eatonton, GA; two brothers, Carl Lee of Savannah, GA and Eddie Lee of Montezuma, GA. 15 grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA has been entrusted with arrangements.
