It is speculated Margaret died in the early 1850's, was buried in the Cross Roads community of Hart County Georgia, and that her son, George, who died in 1891, was buried near her. It appears, Margaret's son, George, has a headstone in the Cross Roads Baptist Church cemetery, but Margaret does not.

Robert Stephenson left a Will in Pendleton District (Anderson County), South Carolina dated 12 Nov 1813 and proved 11 Feb 1814. It named his siblings: sister Martha Russel, brother George Stephenson, brother Alexander Stephenson and sister Elizabeth Morrow. (Proven: 11 Feb 1814.)
