Mrs. Jessie Kate Worth Aldridge, 92, died Thursday (June 12, 2003) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She is a native of Pierce County, but she has lived in Waycross most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Waring Community Church.
She is the daughter of the late John Berrian (J. B.) Worth and Florence Williams Worth. She is the wife of the late Spencer M. (S. M.) Aldridge. She is also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Ira Worth, Floyd Worth, Tracey Worth and Evanell Beck.
She is survived by her son, Phillip E. Aldridge (wife Linda) of Miami; two grandchildren, Patricia Lynn Carswell (husband Jeffrey) of Augusta, and Cynthia Lynn Griffin (husband Greg) of Woodstock; a great granddaughter, Olivia Graham Carswell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday (June 16, 2003) at Waring Community Church. Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Music Funeral Home.
