Rosemary's sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Rick, introduced her to Ron in 1963, while they all worked at the Sprouse Ritz in Roosevelt. After a brief courtship, Rosemary and Ron were married in the same year. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple in 1982.
Rosemary and Ron raised nine children in their home in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Mom's greatest work was her children and her grandchildren, allowing each to grow their individual talents, abilities, and gifts while helping each child to navigate their unique challenges in life.
Mom had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved the Lord and lived the gospel, studied the scriptures, prayed often, attended church, served in the temple, and fulfilled many church callings as asked.
Mom was industrious: she cooked, baked, cleaned, canned fruits and vegetables, helped with homework, made her children's school clothing, and scrimped and saved to obtain family essentials. Later in life, Mom contributed to the family income by working at Walmart for 20 years.
Mom was a kind, caring and loving mother: she was spiritually perceptive of her children's needs, hopefully optimistic in her example and teaching, firm but kind in her parenting, and encouraging in her words.
Mom loved her children and grandchildren, primary callings, horses, puzzles, coloring, painting, sewing, baking bread and rolls, and the simple pleasures of life such as a meal out, a scenic drive, and making a child giggle. Mom lived simply, loved completely, and set a Christ-like example.
Mom is preceded in death by her daughter Jeannette Crocheron, her grandson Conner Lloyd, and her brother Joseph Richens. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Lloyd, daughters Brenda (Matt) Brewster, Michelle (Tracy) Gibbs, Heather Lloyd, Ashley (Hyunu) Kim, and her sons Roger (Denise) Lloyd, Michael (Kim) Lloyd, Travis Lloyd, and David (Heather) Lloyd, her 27 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, her sisters Sheila Litson, Anna (Charlie) Reynolds, Jeannie (Dennis) Glassburn, Linda (Gary) Hancey, and Denise (JR) Carter, her brother Steven (Jill) Richens.
