Phyllis D. Dodge, 71, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita, KS. She was born December 23, 1951, in Hutchinson, KS to Verle R. and Beulah L. (Green) Hall.
Phyllis graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1969 and worked for Kroger as a cashier and later as an accounting clerk for over 20 years. On August 12, 1972, Phyllis married Larry E. Dodge in Hutchinson. She graduated from Sidney's Hairdressing College and attended Baptist Bible College in Missouri. Phyllis enjoyed reading, gardening and genealogy.
Phyllis is preceded by her parents; husband, Larry; and sisters, Elaine Atkinson and Lynette Smith.
She is survived by her son, Matthew (Jaime) Dodge and daughter, Chelle Dodge; two sisters, Sheryl Lord and Joyce Gibbs; five grandchildren, Colten Dodge, Devon Dodge, Caitlin (Trey) Bishop, Jordan (Marisa) Dodge and Caileigh Dodge; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Tim Adrian officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the Westside Baptist Church and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.
