Kathleen Ann Evans (Hefley), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away in her birthplace of Wagoner, OK on September 18, 2023. Born on August 26, 1953, to the late Joe Harley Hefley and Genevieve Leona Hefley (Powell), Kathleen spent her 70 years embracing life and the people she loved.
Kathleen, completed her formal education from Sequoyah High School. She built a fulfilling career in Electronic Production.
True to her loving and kind nature, Kathleen extended her care and affection to animals of all kinds, firmly standing by her calling as an animal lover. The pets she nurtured over the years were often seen as much a part of the Evans family as her human counterparts. She took classes in floral design, enjoyed crafting, going to live shows and MMA fights when ever they were close by.
Kathleen is survived by her devoted husband, David Evans, and son, Jason Bishop and wife Jeanie of Muskogee, OK. The joy Kathleen found in family extended generously to her cherished grandchildren Brittni Markum and husband Luke of Stillwater, OK; Blake, Brett, Ben, and Jaden Bishop of Muskogee, OK; as well as her great-grandchildren Paisleigh and Kooper Markum of Stillwater, OK.
Also remembering Kathleen are her sisters, Beverly Richardson and husband Curtis of Lincoln, NE, Gwen Chuculate of Coweta, OK, brother in law Edward Evans and wife Laura of Leander, TX, niece Sydney Evans of Leander TX, and sister in law Nancy Evans and husband Shawn Huang of Wagoner, OK.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents and brother in law Wally Chuculate.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and lasting family connections. Her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will miss her dearly, but find solace in their loving memories of her.
Kathleen's warm spirit and loving nature will live on through each person she touched.
