Mr. Pascal ''Patsy'' Porzio, 79, of Sherbrook Dr., Goshen, died Sunday, (October 13) at his home. He was the husband of Alma (Ambrosiano) Porzio. Mr. Porzio was born May 2, 1923, in New York City, son of Pasquale and Concetta (Paradiso) Porzio. A World War II veteran, he served with the U.S. Navy Seabees, 14th Special Construction Battalion, 5th Amphibious Forces in the Pacific Theater. Upon the conclusion of the war he worked as an electrician progressing into a position as Section Chief in the Engineering Department of a U.S. Veterans Administration Medical Center, located in Tupper Lake, NY. He later served in V.A. Medical Centers located in New Jersey and Connecticut. In 1981, he retired from the V.A. while serving at the VA Medical Center in Newington. Throughout his entire life he enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW. In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons, Raymond Porzio of LaFayette, NY, Ronald Theodore Porzio of Sioux Falls, SD and Robert John Porzio of Goshen; a daughter, Lynette (Porzio) Miller of Goshen; and ten grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 17, 11 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Goshen. Burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by the Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Rd., Litchfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Connecticut Cardiology Research, University of Connecticut Health Center, Development Office, 263 Farmington Avenue, Farmington, CT 06030-4032.
