Patricia Sue Church Johansen, 82, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Clearvista Lake Health Campus in Indianapolis, IN.
She was born on April 10, 1941, in Peoria, to parents Harold Elmer and Helen (Roark) Church. She married Ralph Gustav Johansen III on December 30, 1967. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2017, after 49 years of marriage.
Surviving are two daughters, Laurel Church Johansen (Donald Jr.) Harpster and Sarah Church Johansen (Eric) Cannon; one sister, Nancee (Nicholas) Vespa; and one brother, Harold "Stephen" (Kathy) Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Douglas Church Johansen.
Patricia graduated from Knox College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and worked as an English teacher in Winnetka, IL. She enjoyed helping at their family's store, Kelly Seed & Hardware in Peoria, and spending time on the family farm in Toulon. Patricia loved that she shared her birthday with not only her father, but also her twins, Sarah and Douglas. She loved gardening and spending time with her family.
Her graveside service will be at the Lafayette Cemetery.
