On September 5th, Patrica Corrine Spraker, loving wife, and mother, passed away in Castle
Pines, Colorado at the age of 92.

Patricia was born in Detroit Michigan on March 6, 1931. She grew up in Detroit with her parents,
Leon and Clara Lukaszewski, her sisters Beverly, Darlene, and Charlotte, and her brothers Leon
and Lawrence. She graduated from Saint David High School in 1949. Patrica then went on to
Michigan State Normal College and graduated in 1953 with her degree in teaching. She was a
member of the Tri Sigma Sorority. After graduation, she along with 6 of her sorority sisters, drove out in two convertibles to San Diego, California to teach school. Patricia taught 5th grade for 4 years. While she was teaching in San Diego she attended an officers dance at Camp Pendleton. It was there she met John Frederick Spraker, her future husband. They were married on December 29, 1956.
Together, they raised two sons, Mark and Craig, and two daughters, Michelle and Lesley.
In her early married years, she and John lived in Fort Lee, New Jersey while John finished his
MS degree in business at Columbia University. This is where their first son Mark was born.
After John's graduation, he moved his family back to San Diego, to take a position in business.
It was in San Diego where they added to their family with the birth of Michelle and Craig. From
San Diego, they then purchased their first home in Costa Mesa, California, and added another
daughter, Lesley, to the family. John and Pat spent many happy years in Costa Mesa. Aside
from raising four children, Pat loved shopping and had a flair for fashion. She owned a clothing
store called Gwen's Boutique. After trying her hand in retail, she went on to work at Orange
Coast College in the counseling department for many years until she retired.

In her free time, Pat's favorite activity was sunbathing next to her pool. She loved the sun and
always had a perpetual tan. She also enjoyed baking and had a talent for cake decorating. She
was an avid reader as well. Patrica had a strong faith. She and John were parish members at
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Costa Mesa. They also had a very active social life. Pat
was an excellent cook and she and John loved to entertain. They belonged to a bridge group
where they met lifelong friends. She also played bridge later in life in a women's club as well. In
1998, they sold their beloved Costa Mesa house and moved to a brand new home in Laguna
Niguel. It was there they attended St. Timothy's Catholic Church. Pat was an active member of
the parish. Pat volunteered as a mass greeter every Sunday morning and she also worked in
the church kitchen every Monday. They continued to be active socially with many dear friends.
They loved traveling, especially cruising. In 2019, Pat lost her beloved husband, John. A year
after his death, she moved to Colorado to be closer to her daughter, Michelle, and son, Craig.

Patrica is preceded in death by her parents Leon and Clara, brothers Leon and Lawrence, her
sisters Beverly, Darlene, and Charlotte, and her loving husband, John. She is survived by her
children: Mark Spraker, Michelle Robinson and her husband John, Craig Spraker and his wife
Janet, Lesley Hopper and her husband Chris, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and her
nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 22, at 10am, at St. Timothy's Catholic Church
located at 29102 Crown Valley Parkway, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677. A reception will immediately
follow mass. All are invited to attend.
