Homer P. Brooks, of 131 Short Street, SE., died yesterday at the residence. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. J. D. Otwell and Misses Doris and Peggy Brooks; five sons, J. Harold, Jack, Jerry and Edward Brooks; parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Brooks; and two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Melton and Mrs. W. O. Ponders. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Mount Zion Baptist church, with the Rev. J. M. Stallings officiating. Burial will be in the churchyard.
