Kenneth Arthur Kerner Jr., 67, of Midway, Ark., died Monday at his home. Born July 30, 1933, in Ford City, he was the son of Kenneth and Laura Petsinger Kerner. He retired as a teacher from the Butler School District and moved to Midway in 1994. Mr. Kerner was a Methodist. He enjoy working in his garden and fishing and hunting. He belonged to the National Rifle Association. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Nancy McKissick, whom he married Feb. 6, 1959, in Butler; three sons, Kenneth Kerner of Harrison, Ark., Kevin Kerner of Yorktown, Pa., and Eric Kerner of Butler; two sisters, Gail Kerner of Texas and Elanor Douthett of Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death. KERNER — A memorial service for Kenneth Arthur Kerner, who died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at BAXTER COUNTY FUNERAL HOME, 2982 Highway 62 W., Mountain Home, Ark. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
