Sherry Lee (Collier) Snyder, daughter of Claire (Wilson) and Alexander Gomez, of St. Robert, Missouri passed from this world on May 22, 2023 at her home in St. Robert, having attained the age of 70 years.

Sherry was born on July 3, 1952 in Monrovia, California. She attended school in Los Angeles County, California and graduated in Long Beach with the class of 1970. After moving to the State of Oregon, she met and married the love of her life, Norman Harry "Bud" Snyder, on June 22, 1989 in Reno, Nevada. They welcomed two daughters to that union, Misty and Cindy.

Traveling over-the-road with Bud was one of her greatest joys, and their travels and Bud's health eventually led them to Missouri. It was here, after Bud's passing, Sherry lived out the rest of her life in the company of her daughters and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked for 18 years at Walmart in Lebanon, Missouri from where she entered her retirement years. Sherry loved a good murder mystery and was an avid reader of them. She also spent much of her free time working on jigsaw puzzles.

Sherry is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather: Claire and Alexander Gomez; and a son, Ken Dion Dawson.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Misty Hollis (James III) of Springfield, MO, and Cindy Snyder Stewart (Brian McKinnon) of St. Robert, MO; nine grandchildren: Dale (Erica), MaKayla (Curtis), and Marissa all of Springfield, MO, Kenny of Springfield, MO, Bree of Lebanon, MO, Justin of Lebanon, MO, Kaitlyn, Brian Jr., and Alexander of St. Robert, MO; six great-grandchildren: Dale, Oliver, Silas, Landen, Aurora, and Kayden; three sisters: Gina McFarland of California; Carrie Dial of West Virginia, and Rochelle of Branson, MO; a host of other family and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sherry Snyder and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
