William was the son of Jacob Calvin & Lucy Barham Newsom. He married 1) Elizabeth Ledford, & 2) Henrietta Pauline Brindle. His daughters with first wife Elizabeth --Phoebe Newsom Clodfelter & Hannah Newsom White are also buried here with their husbands. His daughter with second wife Henrietta Brendle, Lucy Newsom Shore, is also buried here. His tombstone says he died in 1876, but the People's Press newspaper published his death notice in 1875, so I'm keeping that death date as it's accurate. I would assume that Elizabeth Ledford Newsom is also buried here but have found nothing to prove it.
