MISHAWAKA - Marjorie Ann Risinger, 82, of Mishawaka, IN, formerly of South Bend, died following an illness at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008, in Hospice House. Mrs. Risinger was born August 15, 1925, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Harry and Edna (Allman) Golden, and had lived in the South Bend area since 1953, coming from Indianapolis.

On January 29, 1950, in Antioch, IN, as Marjorie A. Golden, she married Wayne H. Risinger, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Linda (Brad) Peacock of Libertyville, IL; one son, Mark (Mary) Risinger of Shorewood, MN; five grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle and Joseph Risinger, Meredith and Lauren Peacock.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Douglas and Mary Cohee; and by two brothers, James Barker and Harry Golden.

Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed golf, bridge and family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in South Bend, the Morris Park Country Club, and was a past president of both Service Guild and Indiana Bridge. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16th, in First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David Morrow officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. The family will receive friends in the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245 (online at www.pancan.org). Family and friends may leave e-mail condolences at [email protected]. Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, is assisting the family with arrangements.
