Born in Northern Louisiana, on January 4, 1943, she was the daughter of Red and Pat Garrett.

Beth was a very outgoing woman that made everyone that she came in contact with feel loved and appreciated. She was very active in her community where she was a member of the Orange County Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Orangefield PTA, American Cancer Society and an Athena Award Recipient. She started her career at KOGT and later moved on to be the District Director for the Orange County District 19 State Representatives Ron Lewis and Mike Hamilton for a total of 27 years.

Above all, Beth was a mother and a Granny. She devoted herself to her family. She was always there in person, no matter what the event, cheering her family on and often with her special brown sugar cookies. She leaves a legacy of strong faith, strong will, strong traditions, treasured recipes, giving hearts and positive attitude of making the best of every day. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In the words of Beth, "Everything's chicken but the gravy."

She is preceded in death by her parents, Red and Pat Garrett and her brothers, Dalton Murphy and Jack Garrett.

She is survived by her children, Gerald Rach and wife Dona, Susie LeBlanc, Sally Rach and Andy Hathaway, her grandchildren, Craig Cormier, Jared Hutchison and wife Sarai, Kevin LeBlanc and wife Kassidy, Catie Swanson and husband Johnathan and Lane Rach, her great-grandchildren, Colton Hutchison, Levi Hutchison and Everly LeBlanc, her siblings, Mike Garrett and wife Sandra, sister-in-law, Toshi Garrett, Linda Quinley and Monnette Remedies and husband Johnt and numerous other loving family members.

Beth's family would like to extend a special thank you to the Memorial Hermann Infusion staff and Chaplain, Sherrie Ross from Baptist Home Health, Southeast Texas Hospice, as well as her beloved friends Annette Deal and Ron Sigler. She lovingly referred to those listed above as her "Earth Angels" and they all helped to extend the time her family had with her with their compassion, love, and care.
