Born in Portsmouth, Va., on April 22, 1961, he was the son of Jeanie Grubaugh England of Lafayette and stepson of the late Willis Earl England.
He was lead foreman for Shafer Roofing in Lafayette for many years and for Sullivan and Fortner for two years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting and sharpening knives, shooting guns and roofing.
Surviving with his mother are three daughters, Angelia M. Hill of Lafayette, Theresia A. Hill of Indianapolis and Jessica L. Fleschner (husband: Matthew) of Swansea, Ill.; a son, Jere A. Hill Jr. of Swansea, Ill.; and six sisters, Pamela Hill (husband: Michael Brooks) of Otterbein, and Elizabeth Smith, Sherry England, Marilyn Wooten, Cynthia Paz (husband: Juan) and Loretta Rodriquez (husband: Juan), all of Lafayette. Four grandchildren, 20 nieces and nephews and 23 great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
