Barbara Anita Conrad, 95, of Fort Worth passed away on September 2, 2023.
Barbara was born in Bessemer, Alabama to Marvin and Mable Bean on August 29, 1928. She married Michael Conrad on September 3, 1960. She worked as a Realtor and Broker over forty years. She founded a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Freehold, New Jersey, and was involved in the United Methodist Women and her Wesleyan Class at church. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she received honors for funding scholarships by selling her homemade necklaces.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Michael, her brother Joel Bean, and her parents.
Barbara is survived by her three daughters; Elaine Solomon and her husband, Louis, Michelle Hyland and her husband, Jeremy, and Angela Schlemeyer and her husband, Race; and also by her four grandchildren, Andrew Solomon, Sarah Hyland Taylor and her husband, Chad, and Brooke & Kristen Schlemeyer.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Meadowbrook/Poly United Methodist Church, 3900 Meadowbrook Dr., Fort Worth, with Pastor Ginger Watson officiating.
Interment: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Barbara's family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Michelle Torres, Three Oaks Hospice, and Assisting Hands Home Care, who helped take care of Barbara in her final days.
