D. H. Brighton, 79, Dies at Firth

Firth, April 19 - Daniel H. Brighton, 79, who has lived in Salt Lake CIty all of his life, died Saturday while visiting his son, Harold Brighton, in Firth. He has been ill three months from a bone disease.

His parents were founders of Brighton resort in Cottonwood canyon where he spent nearly every summer. He was a miner by trade. He was born January 1, 1864, in Salt Lake CIty.

Funeral service arrangements are incomplete but they will be held at Firth. Interment also will be at Firth. The body is at Nalder-Eckersell mortuary, Shelley.

Survivors besides Harold Brighton include other sons, G. H. Brighton, Firth; D. S. Brighton, Ashville, N. C.; E. R. Brighton, with Douglas aircraft in foreign points; W. E. Brighton, Salt Lake City; daughters, Eva Tidwell, Smithfield, Utah; and Stella Nielsen; Catherine Gibson and Florence Stoben, all of Salt Lake City; brother, William S. Brighton, Salt Lake City, 19 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
