They were divorced in 1961.
OBITUARY: CHURCHILL – On June 17, 1980, peacefully in her sleep at home, JUNE CHURCHILL (nee Osborne). Service St Simon Zelotes Church, Cadogan Square, S.W.1. Tuesday, June 24, at 2 p.m. followed by private cremation. Family flowers only, but donations if desired to Cancer Research. A memorial service will be announced later.

An inquest into Mrs. Spencer Churchill's death was conducted and results covered in a number English newspapers on July 16 – 17, 1980. Mrs. Spencer Churchill had been diagnosed with cancer fourteen years previously, and it had eventually spread and could not be cured. She had discharged herself from the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she had been receiving treatment. Her body was found on June 18, 1980, at her home. The inquest concluded that Mrs. Spencer Churchill had committed suicide, ingesting a large amount of barbiturates and heroin. She had been prescribed the heroin to help with the pain the cancer was causing her.
She was survived by her daughter, Arabella Spencer-Churchill, stepson Winston Churchill, a grandson, and half-brother Miles Picton Morris.
Mrs. Spencer Churchill's will was probated on August 14, 1980. At the time of her death, she was residing at Flat 47/50 Cornwall Gardens, London SW7.
