John G. Work, a longtime resident and businessman of Santa Fe, passed away unto the Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2003.

He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Michelle Phillips Lucero, and her husband Frank Lucero; and son, Leo Roybal.

John is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Theresa; son: Steven John Work; daughters: Susan Paulson and hus- band Jerry, Victoria Work and Alfred Baca, Sharon Valdez, Jennifer Brewer and Larry Fermandez, grandchildren: Jeannette and Steve Schnell; Richard, Jeffery, and Sara Paulson, John and Reina Chavez, Lynette Valdez, Candice and Jenae Bobchak; great- grandchildren: Sam and Tasha Gordon and Raquel Lucero; mother-in-law, Esther Medrano; brothers and sisters-in-law; Mary Medrano, Jimmy and wife Celia Medrano, Christine and husband Waldo Garcia, Robert and wife Marlene Medrano, Mike and wife Consuelo Medrano, Phillip and wife Dorothy Medrano; Orlin Roybal, mother of Victoria; and numerous friends.

A memorial service was held on Monday, August 18, 2003, 1:00 pm. at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa Street, 984-8600.
