Bud married his loving wife, Patsy Lynne Arisman on April 9, 1954 in Concord, Texas. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in Guam. After serving in the military, Bud was employed with Alcoa for 26 years as a pipefitter before his retirement. He was resident of Ridge for the past 22 years previously living in Thorndale. He was of the Methodist faith.
Bud is best described as a family man that was a wonderful husband and father. His family was very important and he was dedicated to making life better for them. Bud was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed taking his children hunting, fishing and camping when they were small. He also enjoyed gardening and traveling with his wife before his illness. He will be remembered as a great story teller that could always put a smile on someone's face.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Ansley; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patsy Lynne Ansley of Ridge; daughter and son-in-law, Diana Lynne and Sam French of Corpus Christi; Son, James Robert Ansley and Jennifer of Thorndale; 5 grandchildren: Jared, Dustin, Logan, Brenna and Jessica; 6 great grandchildren: Jagger, Oliver, Parker, Aubree, Eric and Rylan.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 2:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin. Burial will follow in Holly Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
