Marlene A. Pageloff, age 85, of Janesville, died Sept. 2, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home where she had been residing for the past 5 years. She was born in Janesville on May 6, 1938, the daughter of the late Albert and Mildred (Wakefield) Prien. She was a graduate of Blackhawk Technical College where she received a degree in nursing. Marlene married Kenneth M. Pageloff in 1978, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2006. She worked as a CNA for various nursing facilities over her career but truly enjoyed her time at the Rock County Health Care Center and St. Elizabeth Nursing Home. Marlene enjoyed doing word searches, reading mystery novels, dancing, and listening to music. She will be lovingly remembered as always being happy, upbeat and having a smile on her face, but the kids will also remember her feisty attitude! She is survived by her children; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; 2 sons, Timothy and Scott Anderson; grandson, Nathan Clark; infant brother, Gordon Prien; and 2 sisters, Beverly Bobzien and Shirley Streeter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at the APFEL WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, Janesville. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Center Township.
