Adam and his wife retired from a lifelong career in the restaurant business, first with Freddie's and ending with the original Adam Coury restaurant. He was a longtime member of St. Michael Orthodox Church and a founding member of the former Lebanese-American Country Club.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by four siblings, Fred, Norman, Delores and Gilbert Coury.
Adam is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Alice. Throughout their entire married life Adam and Alice referred to each other as "boyfriend and girlfriend". He is also survived by four children, Chris Coury, Tim Coury (Patti), Kimberly Coury and Todd Coury (Ginger); one sister, Marline Coury. Ten grandchildren, three grand sons-in-law and three great-grandchildren also survive along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 5th at St. Michael Orthodox Church, 3701 St. Michael Church Drive, with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. On Wednesday morning, Trisagion prayers will be offered at the church beginning at 10 a.m. with burial following at Cave Hill Cemetery
