David William Adams, Jr. was born Friday, July 31, 1942, in Dallas Texas to the late David W. Adams, Sr. and Grace E. Adams. He passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
David loved playing softball in a senior league out of the Tulsa area. His team was called 85+ and he was their star pitcher. David also enjoyed going to church, fishing, camping, doing yardwork, and working on cars. David was enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1973-1975 and served 3 years as a junior reserve training officer.
Preceding him in death were his father, David W Adams, Sr., mother, Grace E. Adams, sister, Martha Harshberger, and first wife, Wanda Adams.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Carolyn Adams, daughter Grace Knipple and husband Brian, of Okmulgee, son, Jerry Adams and wife Journey, of Okmulgee, stepdaughter Teresa Porter and husband Gary, of Collinsville, stepson Gary Vickery and wife Dena, of Collinsville, two grandsons, seven granddaughters, two great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday, September 9, 2023, with John Robertson officiating, at Restore Church, Okmulgee, Ok.
