Ned Story Buried at Hopewell Sunday
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Harmony Baptist church for Mr. Ned Story. He died in the Bryan hospital, Friday, April 29th after an illness of about three years.
Mr. Story was born Sept. 23 1883 at Cameron, Milam county and at the age of 19 he moved to the Malvern community of Leon County.
He was married to Miss Linnie Nichols, Nov. 8, 1908, and to the union was born six children which three are still living.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Linne Story, His mother, Mrs. Annie Story, and three children, Miss Mary Story of Houston, Chester Story and Mrs. Folorence Shannon of Normangee, two grandchildren, Mrs. Mary K. Story and Rebecca Shannon. Also a brother W. Story of Nineveh and five sisters, Miss Lizzie Tilley of Nineveh, Mrs. Palmer, Houston, Mrs. Edith ?, Buffalo, Mrs. Blanch Boykin, Buffalo, and Mrs. Georgia Hodges,of Brownwood.
Mr. Story was united with the morrison Chapel Baptist Church in 1910, and resided in the Malvern community until he moved his family to Normangee on Jan. 31, 1941. Pallbearers for Mr. Story were: Nephews, Howard Palmer, Reece ?, Alvis Story, Guy Nichols, Tatam Nichols, Roy Tilley.
Rev. R.N. Davis was the officiating pastor. Story was buried in the Hopewell cemetery in Normangee.
