Hildale, Utah, Theodore Guy Jessop Sr., age 67, beloved friend, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 27, 2023, in Logan, Utah.

Born on January 15, 1956, to Richard Seth Jessop and Fern Judith Carlson at Hildale, Utah.

He married Eda Black on July 29, 1974, at Colorado City, Arizona.

Ted was a man with a big heart and a generous spirit. He was always willing to help others, and he never judged anyone. He was an anchor for his brothers and sisters. He was a devoted partner, and a loving father to his nine children. He was also a proud grandfather to 33 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Ted was a successful businessman who owned and managed several businesses across multiple states. He was also a skilled heavy equipment operator and construction contractor. Ted learned from an early age the value of hard work and determination.

Ted was often found at his kitchen table, or in a circle of his friends, enjoying their company over a cold beer. His greatest joy was interacting with his grandchildren. The way he lit up whenever he saw them was undeniable and he made an effort to be intimately involved in each of their lives. Ted had a quiet, but big personality and knew how to touch the lives of everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
