She was one of the 31 victims of the 1952 Farnborough Airshow disaster.

Although she was born in Herne Hill, it is unknown whether she was born in the London Borough of Lambeth or Southwark-part of the town.

She received her education in Enfield & later the Ealing County School for Girls. In the Summer of 1951, she enrolled at an unspecified college/university, where shortly afterward, she dropped out & became a clerk for a London insurance firm's cash department. She was promoted the evening before her sudden passing.

She was also a "keen" tennis player, playing for the GWR Sports & Social Club.
