MRS KATHERINE ROYER IS TAKEN BY GRIM REAPER
Lifelong Resident Succumbs After Short Illness
Mrs Katherine Royer, widow of Jacob Bloom Royer, and a life long resident of this vicinity, died at 10:30 Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs George Basford, 814 Nort West Street. Death followed a year's illness. She had been bedfast for the past four days.
Born May 2, 1861 in Huntertown, Indiana, the daughter of John and Katherine Hensinger, she moved to Ohio when still a young girl and settled with her family in Adams township.
She was married to Jacob Bloom Royer, November 12, 1882, and lived at Fireside until 1926 when they moved to Flat Rock, where she maintained a home. Her husband preceded her in death November 19, 1928.
Mrs Royer was interested in church work and was always an active member of the Fireside Evangelical-Reformed church.
Survivors are her daughter, Mrs George Basford and three sons, Clarence, of Flat Rock, Warren of Fireside and Arthur, of Cleveland. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs Jane Garman, of Ft Wayne, Ind., and Mrs Dollie Shirck, of Republic, and three brothers, Timothy, of Oklahoma, Lester, of Willard, and Otto, of West Lodi.
Funeral services will be held at the Flat Rock home at 3 o'clock Monday and from the Fireside Evangelical-Reformed church at 3:30 o'clock, Rev Bert Wynn, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in the Fireside cemetery.

Flat Rock Woman to Be Buried Monday
Mrs Katherine Hensinger Royer, 78, of Flat Rock, widow of the late Bloom Royer, died at 10:30 pm Friday in the home of her daughter, Mrs George Basford, in Bellevue.
Funeral services are to be held at 2 pm Monday in her home in Flat Rock and at 2:30 pm in the Fireside Reformed church.
Mrs Royer was born in Adams township on May 2, 1861, a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Hensinger. She lived her entire life in that vicinity.
In addition to the daughter at whose home she passed away, she is survived by three sons, Clarence of Flat Rock, Warren of Fireside, and Arthur of Cleveland. Four grandsons also survive
