RAYMOND ‘RAY' BLITCH

Ellabell – Raymond Felton Blitch, 69, died Monday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital in Statesboro after a long illness. The Bryan County native was a retired truck driver and was a member of Black Creek Primitive Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maggie Lou Beasley Blitch of Ellabell; five sons, Roy Blitch of Stilson, Earl Blitch of Tacoma, Wash., and Cleveland, Ray and Richard Blitch, all of Ellabell; four daughters, Mrs. Ann Busby, Mrs. Dorothy Strickland and Mrs. Glenda Brantley, all of Glennville, and Mrs. Linda Strickland of Ellabell; two brothers, Leroy Blitch of Statesboro and Edward Blitch of Stilson; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Bea Travers, of Ford, N.J.; and 16 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Ellabell Methodist church, with burial in Lane's Primitive Baptist church Cemetery near Stilson. Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge.
