Funeral services for Velma F. Elliott, 96, Tonganoxie, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Tonganoxie Christian Church. Burial will be in Harmony-Evergreen Cemetery in Savonburg.
Mrs. Elliott died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
She was born April 3, 1912, in Savonburg, the daughter of Marion and Lois Young Weddle. She graduated from Elsmore High School in Elsmore in 1930.
She married George J. Elliott on Oct. 19, 1932, in Erie. He died Nov. 6, 1983.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Lois Elliott, in 1935.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Knick, Gladstone, Mo.; three sons, George, Shawnee, Darrell, Tonganoxie, and Jim, Linwood; a sister, Wanda Crabb, Basehor; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
