Georgia Ann (Smith) Porter and her husband John Henry "Jack" Porter, bought 200 acres of land in Bell Co. TX from her father Silas Mercer Smith for the sum of $1.00 in the year 1873. As did her sister Elizabeth Monterey (Smith) and her husband David Newton Smith. Their sister America Victoria (Smith) Compton and her husband Thomas Compton bought 300 acres in 1867 fo the sum of $1.00, and 300 more acres for the same price in 1873, all land being in Bell Co, TX and was all ajoined.
