Harold G. Rhea, 76, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Hermann Douglas, surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired U. S. Army veteran, where he served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He also retired from Stauffers Chemical Co. and the U. S. Civil Service. He was a member of the Sebastian Masonic Lodge # 706, Ft. Smith AR, Louisville Scottish Rite and the York Rite, Order of the Eastern Star Valley Chapter #65, and an Honorable Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jewel Russell Rhea , of 56 years; his parents, Isaac "Ike" and Virginia Rhea; his sister, June Napier; and brothers, James and Jack Rhea. He is survived by his daughters, Theresa Douglas (Hermann) and Debra Barclay (Patrick), of Cincinnati OH; one son, Michael G. Rhea (Pamela); grandchildren Carla, Bethany, Janet, Karen, Walter, Russell, Angela, Rebecca and Sheena; great-grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Bryanna, MacKenzie, T.J., Madison, Marissa, Hunter, Kaydence, Chloe, Seth and Addison Rhea; one great-great-granddaughter, Shyanne; and his brothers, Robert, Ted and Richard Rhea. His funeral service was held at noon on Saturday at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, and burial followed with military honors in the Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
