Clair Martin, 84, of Moravian Manor, Lititz, formerly of Ephrata, entered into rest at Lancaster General Hospital on May 29, 2009. He was born in Ephrata, a son of the late Phares and Lydia (McHenney) Martin. He was the husband of Joan Colety Berkley Martin and of the late Esther Hufford Martin who died in 1970.

Clair was a graduate of Ephrata High School Class of 1942 and served in the Navy as a Radioman 2nd Class in the 295th Joint Assault Signal Co., participating in the Invasion of Seven South Pacific Islands. He retired in 1980 after 30 years with Bethlehem Steel, Grace Mines, Morgantown, as superintendent of industrial relations.
