Helen Adkison Clifford, age 94 of Union City, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Obion County Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be at 1pm Thursday, August 31, 2023 at White-Ranson Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Watts officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin Thursday at 11am and run until the time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Clifford was born in Obion County on March 3, 1929 to the late Cecil Cunningham and the late Velma Edwards Cunningham.

She was married to Russell Adkison from 1949 until his passing in 1956. She then married the late Maurice Clifford in 1962. She began working at Dixie Gun Works as the Bookkeeper in 1962 until retiring in 2020 and was member of Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Clifford is survived by her daughters, Sherrie Nelson and her husband Jerry and Pat Adkison all of Union City; her son, Jerry Clifford and his wife Leslie of Kenton; four grandchildren, Jamie Adams of Union City, Joey Nelson of Hornbeak, Andy Nelson of Union City, and Candice Clifford of Kenton; four great-grandchildren, Matthew Adams and his wife Amy, Audrey Adams, and Noah Nelson; and one great-great-grandchild, Birdie Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and her son, Cecil Adkison.
