Valerie Cobb Obituary

Valerie Cobb
August 14, 1954 - September 4, 2021
Donnelly, Idaho - Valerie Ann Cobb, 67, of Donnelly, Idaho, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the McCall hospital surrounded by her husband, Vern, and her daughter, Angie. A celebration of life is planned for a later date and will be posted in the Idaho Statesman.
Valerie (Val) was born August 14, 1954 at Mercy Medical Hospital in Nampa, ID to Kenny and Betty Jessen. Val graduated from Boise High in 1972. She married her high school sweetheart, Nick Aldape, of Boise, and they had two children, Chris & Angie. They later divorced, and in 2002, Val's dream of meeting a cowboy came true when she met Vern Cobb. They were married February 14, 2004. Together they built a beautiful home in Marsing, ID where Val spent several years entertaining in true Val fashion. They built lifetime friendships and memories there that so many will never forget.
Val was the definition of "hostess, with the mostest" and was known for being a social butterfly. Her passion was people, and she lived by the motto "the more the merrier". Val had a talent for making everyone feel welcome, and she loved bringing people together. Whether it was for holidays, BSU tailgates, or just to have fun, Val was up for it.
Val loved the outdoors but had a passion for golf. She even got a hole in one at a prestigious golf course in Palm Springs. If you asked her, she would tell you all about it.
Val's true passion was her family, and she loved them dearly. She got her miles in, traveling to Denver, Utah, California, and Virginia to be their #1 fan. She wasn't missing milestones, accomplishments, or even sporting events.
Val was extremely proud of her family, bragging all the time about the incredible people they were becoming. Through thick & thin, they all were her greatest accomplishment.
Val had a love for animals but she adored her barn cats, Miss Kitty and Pudge, who just passed away in July, and her Schnauzer, Daisy who she lost in 2020.
Valerie will be missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband, Vern Cobb, her children Chris Aldape (Hannah), Angie Barnes (Greg), her grandchildren, Taylor & Bailey Ceriello, Carli & Reece Aldape, her parents, Kenny and Betty Jessen and her brothers, Tim Jessen (Michelle), Rob Jessen (Annette). She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
