Joel Klinger died Sunday evening at 9:30 o'clock, at his home 1129 Seminary street, after an illness of nearly two years duration. He was 57 years of age and came from Allegan county about ten years ago.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Cortland Burrows, Mrs. Daniel Grant. Miss Eva Klinger, Charles, Calvin and Robert Klinger, all of Kalamazoo; George, of Allegan; Albert of Vicksburg, and Earle, of Idaho.
There are also seventeen grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday after noon at 3 o'clock. Burial at Riverside cemetery. Kalamazoo Evening Telegraph June 21, 1909 page 10
Joel and his wife Susan Young were married about 1870, and had 11 children (9 living), according to the 1900 census. Their children included: Blanche b.abt.1872 in PA, George b.abt. 1874 in PA, Robert b.abt.1876 in PA, Henry b.1880 in MI, Delila May b.1886 in MI, Charles b.1889 in MI, Calvin Joel b.1890 in MI, and Eva Myrtle b.abt.1893 in MI.
