John H Dunscomb, fatrh of Howard and Charles H Dunscomb, died Thursday in Navy Hospital, Brooklyn, following an illness of several months.
He was in his 89th year. Conducted a Florist business. Born near Croton Lake, parents were Mr and Mrs John H Dunscomb, NYC.****this is wrong -census and his marriage to 2nd wife shows parents Garrett Abel and Maria Brooke****
Served in 7th Regiment NY State National Guard, and served in the Civil War, LT of G Co.
His first wife was Miss Anna Reynolds dau of notable town of Yorktown parents. A decade or so ago he married Miss Emma Bucket Dixon who survives and resides in Brooklyn.
Services Saturday, interment in the family plot in Dale Cemetery.
