My Uncle Richard "Rick" was the youngest child of Chauncey & Neva Fowler Wilber. I have happy memories of my Uncle Rick and Aunt Lil and one of my favorite memories is that I would go to their home to watch the Lion's game with my dad and brother Jim. At these games my Aunt Lil would serve very special treats. Because I loved food of all kinds and especially candy I happily ate whatever was there. At the end of the game my Aunt Lil told us all that we were eating chocolate covered grasshoppers - what a shock! Very fond memories at Wampler's Lake too as they owned a cottage very near to my grandfather's cottage and as a child I would visit and was always given coloring books and crayons. They never had any children so they always made me feel very special. Rick died two days after his brother and my father Leon. His wife Lillian Morehouse Wilber is included on the grave marker without a date of death. She did die 08 Dec 1994 but not sure if she is buried here.
