Victor was a quiet, soft spoken man who loved his family and community. He served as a Commander of the VFW. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including; counselor in two bishoprics, high priests' group leader, young men's president, and as a member locator missionary. He worked for St. George Ford for three different owners until he was 71 years old. Victor spent weekends and summers in Pine Valley enjoying the out of doors, gardening, and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, children, Vicki Jean (Doug) Ahlstrom, Terry LeVoy (Chava) Cannon, and Douglas Vern (Ginny) Cannon, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grand children, and his brother Ronald Cannon. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Mildred Rosenbruch, Marvin Cannon; and son Michael Scott Cannon. Funeral services will be Monday, March 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Clara 4th Ward, 1706 Desert Dawn Drive Santa Clara, Utah. Interment will be in the St. George Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Michael Scott Cannon Scholarship Fund at Dixie College that will live on in their loving memory.
