Emma "Jo" Callahan, 90, of Cleveland, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Jo was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on May 28, 1933 to the late Corbin "Scorp" and Edna Bryson. She loved sewing, working in her yard and her garden. Jo was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church where she played the piano and worked with the youth groups at the church.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Callahan; brother, Jamie Bryson; her daughter, Sherry Callahan; granddaughter, Talia; and her nephew, Benji Bryson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three sons, Richard (Debbie) Callahan, Eddy Callahan, and Michael Callahan; grandchildren, Tommy (Chris) Stovall, Damon (Jenne) Callahan, Stacey Callahan, and Toni (Ernie) Peels. Her great grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Alli, Ayden, Aubri, Talia, Diante, and Zeke; great great grandchildren, Jasper, Jackson, Callie, Kynlee, Nina, Caitlin, Makayla, and London; and her niece Kim Bryson Keith; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland with Pastor Dustin Wilds officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm prior to the service.
A graveside service is to follow at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
