Laura had a sense of adventure and it showed in her work history. During the Apollo program she worked for NASA in Houston, TX. She attended airline school in Kansas City, MO. Thereafter, she was hired on with United Airlines in Chicago, IL. She transferred with United Airlines to Los Angeles, CA. Later she worked for Hughes Aircraft. During her time in LA, she attended some college, studied early childhood development, learned about natural health, was a paid extra in a few movies, and she loved the beach. She worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections and the Department of Water Conservation. She again moved to Arizona and worked for Kalil Bottling, Nabisco, and Dreyer's Ice Cream. She returned to the Midwest and resided in Nevada (Na-vay-da), MO for over 10 years. Arizona was always close to her heart, so she came back to be near her daughter and grandchildren.
Laura had a passion for travel and visited the United Kingdom and Europe. Her favorite place was Hawaii and she visited multiple times. She sometimes played the piano and had chords and old church hymns memorized. She enjoyed listening to the radio, watching online videos, and was knowledgeable about worldwide events. She took great care of her animals, especially her kitties. She loved Jesus and was eager to meet Him.
Laura was laid to rest Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Citizens Cemetery, 1300 N. San Francisco St., Flagstaff, AZ, at 10 a.m.
