Daughter of John and Susanna (Hall) Rush; sister of Dr. Benjamin Rush. Second wife of Thomas Stamper, married on June 11, 1761 in Christ Church, Philadelphia. The couple had at least two children, one of whom died young (1765). Died of Yellow Fever during the 1793 epidemic.

Originally interred in the Second Presbyterian burial ground on Arch Street. Removed to Mount Vernon Cemetery when the churchyard was cleared in 1867.
