BEERS--Dewey H., 81, Dysart, formerly of Ashville, died July 26, 1980, at Altoona Hospital. Born Aug. 20, 1898, in Fallentimber (Cambria Co. PA), son of Samuel and Sarah (Troxell) Beers. Preceded in death by son, Lawrence, 1970. Survived by widow, former Ruth Hollen, whom he married June 22, 1927, and these children; Mrs. Lewis (Marie) DeAngelis, Dysart; Paul, married to former Alice Sullivan, Wickliffe, Ohio; Harold, married to former Margaret Frank, Bellwood; and Merle, married to former Jean Boland, Buffalo, N.Y.; aslo 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandhildren. Last surviving member of family. Life member and secretary of Ashville Fire Company. Member of Volunteer Firemen's Association of Pennsylvania and Chest Springs Senior Citizens. Justice of the peace in Ashville from 1946 to 1976. Also member of Pennsylvania Notaries' since 1976, and St. Thomas' Catholic Church, Ashville, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Donald Boslett. Interment, church cemetery. Liturgical wake service at 8 p.m. Monday. Friends were received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Donald J. Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville
