October 21, 1910 to September 3, 1972

Claude S. Silman, 61, of Alexandria, died Sunday in an Alexandria Hospital. Mr. Silman was born Oct. 21, 1910, in Clarke County, a son of the late Benjamin A. and Annie M. Silman.

He was a warehouse supervisor for the Fairlington Housing project in Arlington. He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Nellie Carter; two sons, Claude R. Silman of Mechanicsville, Md., and Robert S. Silman of Alexandria; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle S. Ledger ton of Belle Vernon, Pa.; and three brothers, Benjamin P. Silman and Roy A. Silman, both of Berryville, and Glenn C. Silman of Boyce.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Everly - Whitley, Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Road, Alexandria. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, by the Rev. A.F. McClung.
